It’s been an exciting couple of days this year at the 2024 BMW PGA Championship, with some great players seeing their names near the leaderboard – including none other than Rory McIlroy, who sits just behind in the player lead. the final round is played.
Hosted by the prestigious Wentworth Club for 40 consecutive years, who will take home the top prize at the DP Tour event? Only time will tell.
At press time, hard-charging Aaron Rai sits in first place at 18-under, and the 29-year-old Englishman passed Italian Matteo Manassero on Sunday to take the lead by a stroke…for now.

It’s been quite a season for Rai, who has six T10 finishes and one win (Wyndham Championship), so capturing the 2024 BMW PGA Championship would be another incredible victory if he can hold on.
But there are still a lot of holes left to decide the outcome, so it will be fun to watch these guys go up and down.
While we will all have to wait and see who will be crowned the champion, one thing is for us do know the payout amount from this year’s BMW PGA Championship, with the field competing for a nice payday: $1.53 million for a $9 million purse (the same amount as last year, and equal to two other Rolex Series events, the Dubai Desert Classic and the Genesis Scottish Open) .
