Twitter reaction: Adam Zampa bowls for Australia to beat England in T20 World Cup 2024
Australia achieved a convincing 36-run victory over the arch-rivals In England of theirs ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Group B match at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown. The blistering batting of Australia’s top order, coupled with brilliant spin, proved too much for England to handle.
Australia Fights First and Sends Large Amounts
England captain Jos Buttler he chose to bowl first after winning the toss. However, the Australian batsmen had other plans. David Warner (39 runs) got them off to a fast start with many boundaries, while Travis Head (34 runs) provided vital support to the other end. Mitchell Marsh (35 runs) and Marcus Stoinis (30 runs) continued the momentum with some strong batting, pushing the Australian’s total past 200 runs. Despite losing wickets in the latter stages, Australia finished with a solid total of 201/7 thanks to the batting Matthew Wade (17 does not come out).
England Fail to Chase Big Target
Chasing a tough target of 201 runs, England’s batsmen struggled to find the slip. The openers Philip Salt (37 runs) and Jos Buttler (42 runs) provided a good start, but wickets fell at regular intervals thereafter. Jonny Bairstow (7 runs) and Harry Brook (20 runs) failed to convert their start, leaving England with a mountain to climb in the middle overs. While Menzi Ali (25 runs) played a strong knock, the asking rate continued to rise, making the chase difficult. In the end, England lost by 36 runs, managing only 165/6 in the allotted 20 overs.
Adam Zampa Spins Web Around England
Leggie Adam Zampa he was the pick of Australia’s bowlers, taking two crucial wickets for just 28 runs in his four overs. Pat Cummins (2 wickets) and Mitchell Starc (1 wicket) also came in with the sticks at a crucial time, preventing England’s batsmen from building any big partnerships.
Australia Dominate Group B
This comprehensive victory cements Australia’s place at the top of Group B in the T20 World Cup. Their batting power and good bowling attack sent a strong message to the other contenders in the tournament. England, on the other hand, will need to regroup and deal with the batting problem ahead of their next encounter.

Here’s how Twitter responded:
How many times has Adam Zampa done this in Australia. The late Shane Warne will always be the best white ball bowler Australia has produced because he is Shane Warne. But it is safe to say that you can argue that Warne is 1a and Zampa is 1b #T20WorldCup

This innings feels like Champions Trophy 2017 England – devastating against pace, struggling with off-pace bowling on slow pitches.#AUSvENG🏏🇦🇺🏴#T20WorldCup
