“Virat ke joote ke barabar bhi nahi hai”: Danish Kaneria on Babar Azam and Virat Kohli comparison

Former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria it sparked a debate earlier 2024 T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan. Kaneria was looking at the current Pakistan captain Babar Azamunderestimating his abilities compared to the former Indian captain Virat Kohli.

Danish Kaneria criticizes Babar Azam’s actions

“The USA bowlers forced him, he couldn’t bowl. As soon as he reached 40 odd runs he was out. He should have stayed and won the game. Pakistan should have won the game collectively,” Kaneria was quoted as saying in IANS. Pakistan’s shock defeat by the USA, decided in a super over, exposed the weaknesses in their batting line-up, and Azam’s dismissal was a difficult change.

“If only Babar Azam gets a hundred the next day you will see comparisons with Virat Kohli. Virat ke joote ke barabar bhi nahi hai (He doesn’t even fit Virat’s shoes),” Kaneria added.
