Tank Davis Tries to Intimidate Frank Martin at Final Press Conference
Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis tried to intimidate Frank Martin today during their final press conference.
Martin’s Reaction and Confidence
When the two faced each other face to face, Tank (29-0, 27 KOs) pretended to hit Martin (18-0, 12 KOs), and passed out. Tank then laughed and walked away, enjoying his small victory. Martin wasn’t confused by Tank’s kindergarten scare tactic, but he wasn’t amused either. Tank tries to make Martin look like a fool rather than respect him.
It was a strange move, as Martin was ready to fight the right, and it’s a good thing he didn’t beat him. The last thing the fans needed was for ‘regular’ WBA lightweight champion Tank to make the cut this time.
“You are panicking. I made him do a lot of things that he doesn’t normally do,” said Frank Martin speaking to PBC about his thoughts on facing Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis at today’s final press conference.
“You know you’re on a live call, so you’ll see on June 15,” Martin said.
Tank’s Psychological Warfare Backfire Backfire
All the mental stuff Tank does will set him back if he loses the battle, and he’ll look like an idiot afterwards for not focusing.
Many fans now feel that Mayweather Promotions and PBC have given him weak opposition throughout his career to get to this point, where he is the second WBA lightweight champion and still undefeated.
This is Tank’s first step in his career, and he may fail on Saturday night and end up looking like a hype job. Martin will be more motivated than ever to beat Tank after today’s behavior towards him.
Tank vs. Martin will meet in the finals this Saturday, June 15, on PBC on Prime Video PPV at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
