Spain go into the break with a 3-0 lead after the first half
Spain lead Croatia in their first match of the European Championships with goals from Alvaro Morata, Dani Carvajal and Fabian Ruiz.
Luis de la Fuente’s team started the Group B game well against Croatia, leading 3-0 at halftime.
The main concern for this Spanish team, like many before them, is their ability in front of goal and the questions asked of their nine Morata.
But the Atletico Madrid striker showed his clinical stamina when he was played in alone after 29 minutes, finishing under the onrushing Dominik Livaković.
Fabian Ruiz then doubled the lead with a fine strike after excellent work on the edge of the box before Carvajal made it three in extra time.
Cool, calm and collected from Alvaro Morata 🧊
