West Ham are pushing to sell the player in a £35m deal ASAP, with many clubs wary

West Ham United are reportedly in talks with a number of clubs over the transfer of Nayef Aguerd this summer.

The 28-year-old Moroccan has not lived up to expectations during his time at the London Stadium, so it now looks like the Hammers are working to sell him for around £35million this summer amid interest from Ligue 1 clubs.

Aguard looked like a good player when he played in France with Rennes, but it didn’t work for him in English football and we can see him returning to his old club.

According to Football Insider, there is interest from Rennes and Lens in signing Aguerd this summer, with West Ham keen to offload the player.

West Ham fans will probably have mixed feelings about this, as Aguerd will not be so easy to replace, even if there is potential for the club to do better.

The east Londoners rejected interest from Saudi Arabia last summer, keeping Aguard at the time, but it seems they are now more confident of cashing in on him.

As long as West Ham can find a quality replacement at the back, perhaps raising £35m to add to the transfer budget isn’t the worst idea in the world, even if there are some risks.
