The goal machine will decide between joining Aston Villa or Arsenal

In-demand Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly set to decide between joining Aston Villa or Arsenal this summer.

Zirkzee has had a great season at Bologna as Thiago Motta’s side sit fourth in Serie A with four games remaining, and are in the running to qualify for the Champions League.

The 22-year-old has scored 12 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions, and is attracting interest from Italy and the Premier League.

Zirkzee to decide between Arsenal and Aston Villa?

The Bologna star will be in high demand this summer and Inter Live have reported that the Serie A champions are keen to sign the in-form striker.

The report adds that Bologna’s €60 million demands for the striker are seen as a significant obstacle for the Nerazzurri.

Zirkzee is expected to be a sought after player this summer.

That price is unlikely to be an issue for Premier League players with Inter Live claiming the player is faced with a choice between Arsenal and Aston Villa.

It is believed that the Bologna striker would prefer to stay in Italy this summer with a report claiming that will not happen unless Bologna lower their asking price.

Bayern Munich will not be released as they have a buy-back clause of 40 million euros, but it is said that no team is open to that.

Arsenal are believed to be looking to sign a new striker as they hunt for a regular source of goals, with Gabriel Jesus failing to live up to expectations following his move from Manchester City.

Aston Villa have the talented Ollie Watkins and John Duran as backup, but if they qualify for the Champions League they could look to add strength and quality with depth to their striking department.

Zirkzee’s run is expected to be intense, and it will be interesting to see if the forward will make it to the Premier League next season.
