USA predicted the start of the match vs Bolivia: Copa America 2024

The United States Men’s National Team begins its Copa America 2024 campaign against Bolivia in front of a home crowd at AT&T Stadium on Sunday, June 23.

The USMNT’s road to this summer’s Copa America has been filled with big wins and big disappointments. Gregg Berhalter’s side won the CONCACAF Nations League in March, but were humiliated by Colombia in their first of two international matches, losing 5-1.

The Stars and Stripes came back against Brazil four days later, drawing 1-1. Now, with the Copa America games left, the USA is focused on advancing to Group C, which includes Uruguay, Panama and their first rivals, Bolivia.

Here’s how the USA’s starting XI could look as it faces La Verde in its Copa America 2024 opener.

Tim Ream

GK: Matt Turner – Matt Turner pulled off a couple of big saves against Brazil last week, but he also conceded the Selecao’s only goal. He must avoid such mistakes in Copa America 2024.

RB: Joe Sally – An injury to Sergino Dest has pushed Joe Sally into the starting right back spot for the USMNT, and he will make his fourth international start this Sunday.

CB: Chris Richards – Despite calls for Cameron Carter-Vickers to start against Brazil, Berhalter has shown his confidence in his central corner back of Chris Richards and Tim Ream, a duo that should be successful against Bolivia.

CB: Tim Ream – As Tim Ream approaches his 60th game, he will continue to be relied upon as a veteran defensive tackle for the USA.

LB: Antonee Robinson – After a poor performance against Colombia, Antonee Robinson bounced back against Brazil in the USA’s Copa America final. Expect the left-back to start every game in the tournament.

CM: Weston McKennie – Berhalter has shown many different looks for his backfield in 2024, but McKennie has always been one.

CM: Tyler Adams – Tyler Adams has only received limited playing time since returning from injury, but the Bournemouth midfielder provides a defensive presence in midfield freeing up McKennie and Reyna.

CM: Gio Reyna – Gio Reyna’s ability to blend in with his forwards adds to the attacking danger in USA which the team loses when he sits on the bench.

RW: Timothy Weah – Tim Weah’s performances against Colombia and Brazil have earned him his first place on the wing at Copa America 2024.

ST: Folarin Balogun – The USMNT are still searching for their true number 9 between Haji Wright, Ricardo Pepi, Josh Sargent, and Folarin Balogun, but the Monaco striker will get the nod up front.

LW: Christian Pulisic – After Christian Pulisic’s impressive performance against Brazil, the 25-year-old will once again take center stage against much smaller rivals Bolivia.
