Leeds have gone for Callum O’Hare as a potential replacement for Crysencio Summerville

Former Premier League footballer Alan Hutton believes Coventry City’s Callum O’Hare could replace Crysencio Summeville if he leaves Leeds this summer.

Leeds have reportedly shown an interest in O’Hare but have yet to proceed with him, but are likely to replace a number of key players this summer.

The Whites missed out on promotion to the Premier League after losing the play-off final 1-0 to Southampton, and are expected to sell one or two of their key players to help ease financial pressure as Summerville may bid. go away.

O’Hare is the perfect location for Summerville

Summerville scored 21 goals in all competitions last season, and was also named in the Championship team of the season, but the striker is attracting interest from the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, and is reportedly available for around £30m.

The 22-year-old is not the only player who could leave with Georginio Rutter and Willy Gnonto also set to leave, meaning Daniel Farke will need to find replacements as he looks to guide Leeds back into the Premier League.

Leeds are reportedly interested in Coventry’s O’Hare and Hutton believes the 26-year-old could make a big impact at Elland Road should he join the club.

Leeds are believed to be interested in O’Hare, who is out of contract this summer.

“He fits the bill that Leeds like, he’s an exciting player,” he told Football Insider.

“Especially if they are going to lose someone like Summerville or Rutter who may be leaving this summer as well.

“They will have to bring in someone to replace these guys. I know Callum O’Hare well, I played with him when I was at Villa.

“He has technical ability, he has an eye for passing and he can score goals, he is at a good age and has experience at this level.

“I think that’s something that Leeds are looking at and it suits them well.”

O’Hare scored 10 goals in 36 games last season as Coventry reached the FA Cup semi-finals, beating Manchester United at Wembley, but is out of contract this summer and is set to leave in search of a new challenge.
