Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes’ release clause expires at midnight
Man City and Arsenal target Bruno Guimaraes will see his Newcastle The release clause expires at midnight as the Brazilian looks set to stay at St James Park.
The midfielder has a £100m release clause in his current deal which expires in 2028 having signed a new contract with the Tyneside club last October.
In accordance with Fabrizio Romanothat transfer fee will expire at midnight, which will ensure the player stays at Newcastle as the Magpies will demand more from their best player.
The 26-year-old has impressed at St James’ Park since his move to England in 2022 and has quickly become a fan favourite. Supporters of the Premier League outfit will not want to see Guimares leave anytime soon as the Brazilian continues to be monitored by Arsenal and Man City.
The Standard reported the interest of the two Premier League players, but they were aimed at the player’s release clause. Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be monitoring Guimaraes’ situation but an exit from Newcastle now looks unlikely this summer.

Both Arsenal and Man City are in the market for a new midfielder this summer and Guimaraes will be signing for the Premier League giants.
The Brazilian has also been a key player for Newcastle this season in 50 appearances for Eddie Howe, with the 26-year-old scoring seven goals and providing 10 assists.
Guimaraes will go to the next level at Man City or Arsenal as their attacking stars will provide him with many opportunities to create and will convert the opportunities given to the 26-year-old with success. However, they are unlikely to pay more than £100m for the player, but they could come back in time for the Brazilian star.
