Nine runs needed from the last eight balls, Mustafizur Rahman faced a tough task to guide Bangladesh to victory. However, Naveen struck again with a full and straight delivery that hit Rahman on the front pad. The umpire took no time to give it out, as there was no contact with the bat, leading to wild celebrations in the Afghanistan camp.
Naveen’s exceptional spell of 4/26 in 3.5 overs won him the Man of the Match award. His brilliant bowling under pressure ensured victory for Afghanistan and secured their place in the semi-finals.
