West Ham are closing in on the signing of a Premier League duo

West Ham are close to completing a double transfer.

They have been strongly linked with Tottenham defender Kyle Walker-Peters and Wolves star Max Kilman this summer.

And according to the latest report from Knees Up Mother Brown, the Hammers are closing in on both deals.

West Ham close two deals

The report claims that West Ham have made a bid for the Southampton defender recently and are currently working on a player-money deal with the Saints that could involve midfielder Flynn Downes moving away.

At the same time, it is reported that they are in talks with Wolves about their star Max Kilman.

It says their initial offer of £25m has been rejected and the club are now negotiating a deal for the 27-year-old.

Both of these players are reported to be willing to move to East London.

However, West Ham could face competition from Walker-Peters from Tottenham, with recent reports suggesting the Lilywhites are considering re-signing him.

Lopetegui replaced Moyes as West Ham’s new manager at the end of the season

The Hammers are expected to have a busy transfer window with new manager Julen Lopetegui aiming to build a strong squad to implement his style of play.

Lopetegui replaced David Moyes at the end of the season. The former manager of Manchester United has been criticized for his style of play which did not give them results this past season.

West Ham under Lopetegui are expected to expand and attack in their play and with the talent they have, it will be interesting to see how they do next season.

Of course a lot of that will depend on how successful Lopetegui is in getting the targets he desires.
