Players Celebrate Andy Murray Online After Wimbledon Ceremony

Tennis players, veterans and up-and-comers alike, have taken to social media to celebrate an incredible career and legacy Andy Murray.

The multiple singles champion lost his opening doubles match to brother Jamie Murray on Thursday in front of a packed crowd on Wimbledon’s Center Court.

After an emotional, and often funny, tribute ceremony soon after, tributes on social media poured in from many players. Here is just a sample.

Serena Williamswho played mixed doubles with Andy Murray at Wimbledon in 2019 posted his heartfelt tribute in a video.

The most emotional social media tribute is from Andy’s mom and coach Judy Murray who wrote this about his two sons.

Murray is still at Wimbledon as he will play Emma Raducanu in this year’s Mixed Doubles event.
