Liverpool will look to sign two goalkeepers following the departure of Caoimhin Kelleher

Liverpool could be looking to bring in two goalkeepers this summer.

Adrian has already left the club earlier this summer and Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to continue his search for regular football.

The 25-year-old Irishman wants to join another Premier League club according to Football Insider and Liverpool will look to sign both players before the window closes.

Alisson Becker is currently the first-choice goalkeeper at the club, but Liverpool have no hope of going into the new season with one specialist goalkeeper.

They will need to fill in the gaps for players like Kelleher and Adrian. Liverpool will compete in many competitions and will look to do well in Europe and the Premier League. They need a deep squad to do well in most competitions and having two quality goalkeepers would be great.

Kelleher was outstanding for Liverpool in the cup matches and Alisson was still a threat in the league and in Europe. Liverpool will hope to continue with the same set-up in the future.

It will be interesting to see if they can bring in a quality goalkeeper in the coming weeks.

Caoimhin Kelleher to leave Liverpool?

Caoimhin Kelleher needs to move on

Meanwhile, Kelleher will hope to join a competitive club this summer. He made 26 appearances in all competitions last season and his performances have been impressive in recent seasons. There is no doubt that he is ready to play regularly in England’s top flight and it remains to be seen where he ends up.

Regular football will be important to his development at this stage of his career and he cannot sit on the Liverpool bench for another year. It would not be a surprise if Liverpool decided to demand a premium for his services, given his form over the past 12 months.
