The Blue Jays have placed outfielder Kevin Kiermaier on waivers, Joel Sherman of The New York Post reports. Goal seems to have another team looking for him and taking the rest of his salary. Kiermaier is still on the 40-man roster and could continue to play for the Jays while he retires. He is actually in today’s game with the Blacks right now. If he clears waivers, the Jays could target him outright or release him but keeping him on the roster would also be an option.
