Honorable Turki Alalshikh confirmed to X that he wants a fight between Terence Crawford and Jaron “Boots’ Ennis at 154 “soon.”
Eddie Hearn Confident in Crawford vs. Ennis
Promoter Eddie Hearn said during last night’s post-fight interview after Boots’ fifth-round knockout victory over David Avanesyan that he believed The Honorable would make Crawford a challenge against Boots. Furthermore, Canelo Alvarez will not fight Crawford.
Hearn says he doesn’t think Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs), who turns 37 in two months on September 28, will beat Israel Madrimov on August 3.
Crawford will lose to undefeated ‘Little GGG’ Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs) 20 days from now on August 3 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, and will have to decide if he wants to face the little phenom. -Boot Ennis coming out after a loss.

Fans on social media believe that Crawford will do everything in his power to avoid Boots Ennis like the plague, choosing to fight other opponents if he can’t get that golden fight with Canelo Alvarez that he hopes to get before sunset to enjoy. mega-millions in his beautiful house in Nebraska.
Ennis’ Power and Style Cause Problems for Crawford
The body punches and left hook counters thrown by Boot Ennis would be a nightmare for Crawford, and he may not last long against that type of attack, especially since he’s fought every last four years.
In the fifth round, Boot Ennis floored Avanesyan with a nice left hook counter, sending him to the canvas like a rocket-propelled grenade. Avanesyan never saw the punch coming, but he wouldn’t have stayed on his feet with that kind of fearsome gun even if he had.

Ennis (32-0, 29 KOs) may be too small, strong, and tough for Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) in this division.
The real question is whether Crawford will take the fight to Boots, knowing he could end up in the same spot as 35-year-old Avanesyan. That guy is a year younger than Crawford and lacks youth to compete with the Boots.
