Pat Cummins has started his career with the San Francisco Unicorns in the MLC

Pat Cummins will appear in the USA. The Australian fast bowler, who was last seen playing during the T20 World Cup in America and the West Indies, will make his mid-season debut with the San Francisco Unicorns in the Major League Cricket competition.
Cummins signed a four-year contract with the franchise. The 31-year-old has only played in one overseas T20 league, the IPL, and has not featured in Australia’s Big Bash League since the 2018-19 season due to his international commitments.

The Unicorns have won just one of their three games so far this year and will appreciate the boost Cummins will provide. He made history, scoring back-to-back hat-tricks in the T20 World Cup and, before that, led Sunrisers Hyderabad to the final in the IPL. He has played a total of 151 T20s, taking 172 wickets at an average of 26.66 and an economy rate of 8.11.

Cummins’ arrival coincides with Sherfane Rutherford’s departure. The hard-hitting West Indies allrounder has not played a game for the Unicorns so far and will miss the rest of the MLC due to a bereavement in the family.
There were changes among other teams as Ottneil Baartman replaced Gerald Coetzee (injured) at the Texas Super Kings and Lungi Ngidi took over from Wayne Parnell (player withdrawal) at the Seattle Orcas.
Baartman, the South African fast bowler, has been ruled out of the ongoing T20 Blast in England due to a delay in getting his visa which has left his schedule open. He has 107 wickets in 76 T20s and is known for his versatility and death-bowling ability.

Ngidi suffered a back injury during the SA20 season earlier this year and missed the following IPL but has since recovered and was part of the South African T20 World Cup squad alongside Baartman.
