Chris Broad’s pride in Stuart’s recognition

Chris expressed great pride and joy at the Nottinghamshire Committee’s decision to name the end of Trent Bridge after his son, Stuart. He also shared that he took a picture of the scoreboard and sent it to Stuart, who was moved to see his name up there. Chris felt proud and privileged to see his son receive such an honor.

“I am delighted that the Nottinghamshire Committee has decided that Stuart should be remembered in this way. Having a destiny named after him is a great joy. It was surreal, the first time I visited Trent Bridge this year, to hear the announcement that a bowler was bowling at the Stuart Broad End,” Chris said in a statement.

“I took a picture of the scoreboard and sent it to Stuart, he was sad to see his name up there. I am proud and privileged to see him given that honor,” he added.
