Cornerstone Report: Category Based Taking

So here I am, sitting at 6:29 AM and it’s already 83 degrees with humidity, on the way to another day of heat advisories. Chicago did its part to promote the Twisters by having at least ten tornadoes down last night. There is already a Cat 5 hurricane.

Does this sound like the storms that have hit your team? And is there anything worse than the beach on a heat advisory day, and sitting with four stitches in your ear so you can’t swim?

The weather is here. I wish you were beautiful. Like the weather, it’s time to use this break from games to cover the weak spots in the old lineup. Here are some guys who are easily available and can help in a certain category. Of course, they have big holes or they wouldn’t be easily found. But focus on the positive, okay?

HR:

Michael Toglia – What could go wrong with a power strike in Colorado? Mike Toga has positive overall value, a little, but it’s all carried by his 16 HR in less than 200 at bats. That’s about a pace of 48 HRs! Easily available on Yahoo with an 11% owner, here’s a power up if you’re like 3 HR back from a guy or something like that.

I don’t know guys Christopher Morel keeps appearing on these lists. He’s probably a tradeable guy, but his ownership rates dropped until he had 2 HR games. People love their highlights; he is the baseball equivalent of Justin Fields. You know, some fancy games, but ultimately a bad player. He’s probably the most underperforming man in terms of metrics, like off the charts, so if you believe in fake numbers he’s your man. It will produce HR and RBI, a good trade target for those of you in need. Why this guy owns 79% and Michael Busch only 61 is beyond me. I’m not mad disappointed.

Average:

By the way, if Michael Busch available, hurry him up. Over .300 last month, which is a season high with nobody hitting. I’m worried about a K rating over 30, but for now, he’s very useful. And it’s worth the first and third!

People arrived late Josh Smith of the Rangers team. The person who will replace my crush Josh Jung, he has done nothing but hit and is finally managed in 2/3 of the league. .293 on the season will do, and he’s not cool with that bitter .357 in the week before the break. Yes, get him, and he’s eligible for SS and OF as well.

Is it Colt Keith do you understand? .316 and 7HR over the last 30 days suggests he is. The boy has been hitting the ball with a certain authority, not like a judge in court, but like the kind a strict teacher has. The results are coming now for this youth. Oh wait, two weeks ago he was .370 with 7 HR? Yes, get him, it could be a season changer.

You guys have already forgotten Austin Riley in the second half last year? So, in his last 70 games, he hit even .300, which is statistically impressive and in baseball even more so. 21 HR, 56 R, and 53 RBI aren’t bad either. In the domestic league, I just went from 13th to 8th place, I got 40 points this month. Riley is the reason I went from 8 to 3.

Alec Bohm, while not hitting power it still does. I bet there is another power surge there.

Well, I just got the call to jump in the 4Runner and drive to the beach. Good luck and thanks for reading.
