Monsters to be home on new Ohio sports network | TheAHL.com

Rock Entertainment Group, the umbrella company that lives Dan GilbertThe sports and entertainment properties under the ROCK Family of Companies, and Gray Media, owner of WOIO and WUAB in Cleveland and WXIX in Cincinnati, have reached an agreement to launch Rock Entertainment Sports Networkto begin airing on Grey’s television stations in Cleveland and Cincinnati in August with future on-air locations, multi-channel video programming distributors and broadcast components to be announced as the network grows.

The Rock Entertainment Sports Network will serve as the home of the American Hockey League’s Cleveland Monsters, the NBA G-League Cleveland Charge and a variety of local, high school and semi-pro sports programs. RESN will be available on channel 22.1 free-to-air and the teams intend to have it available on major cable, satellite and pay TV platforms available throughout Ohio.

The partnership will bring free, 24/7 access to local Ohio sports and entertainment programs to millions of Ohioans. Gray and Rock Entertainment Group will use the network to create, produce and broadcast sports programming across the region, providing a wealth of sports content to viewers and fans.

The Rock Entertainment Sports Network is scheduled to begin airing games in Cleveland and Cincinnati in August 2024 with plans to expand to additional markets in the following months.
