The chase was interrupted by rain, but India were set a revised target of 78 in eight overs. The start of the innings was rocky for India as Sanju Samson he fell on the golden duck, and was chased by Mahesh Theekshana with excellent delivery. However, Jaiswal and Suryakumar stabilized the innings with strong batting. Suryakumar scored 26 off 12 balls before being dismissed Matheesha Pathirana. Jaiswal scored a brisk 30 off 15 balls, providing a solid foundation for the chase. Pandya then made sure there was no more trouble, scoring 22 not out in nine balls. Pandya’s powerful batting, including a boundary from Pathirana, sealed the match for India and ensured the series win.
