The Clippers want to bring back Paul George as a free agent or give him an extension

What is propaganda on Twitter?

The 76ers will give Paul George the max. Daryl Morey doesn’t mess with these things. If the Clippers lose Paul George for nothing, they will be watching. There are no options to trade. There is no way to replace him. Just pay the man. pic.twitter.com/e4KTdUppqi3:08 PM

ESPN Rumors- Sixers to give Paul George the max? Jimmy Butler, Brandon Ingram are names to watch

More on this story

Jimmy Butler’s future in Miami has become a hot topic in league circles after the Heat’s first round exit. Butler still has one season guaranteed on his contract at $48.8 million before a $52.2 million player option in 2025-26. The 34-year-old, who will turn 35 in September, will seek a contract extension this summer, meaning the Heat risk parting ways with Dwyane Wade in the franchise if they prioritize future flexibility and an extension is not quick. More than one contender out there has also wondered if Philadelphia, after its first-round exit, will trade Butler to reacquire close friend Joel Embiid if the 76ers are unable to use their $50-plus million in salary cap space to acquire a perceived target. right up there is Paul George. Butler’s successful stay in South Beach, of course, began when the Sixers prioritized keeping Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris over Butler and agreed to sign and trade him to Miami when the Heat had little cap space. -via marcstein.substack.com / May 5, 2024

Michael Scotto: Clippers forward PJ Tucker is expected to exercise his $11.54 million player option for the 2024-2025 season, league sources say @hoopshype. Many Clippers are reporting on the free agency of Paul George and James Harden, as well as the future of Ty Lue and management. hoopshype.com/lists/clippers… -with Twitter @MikeAscotto / May 4, 2024

Even if the Clippers have a disappointing finish — a second straight first-round sweep following their absence from the finals in 2022 — they are expected to make a strong effort to re-sign Paul George and James Harden. The thinking, team sources said, is that a team built around the often-injured Leonard should have as much talent as possible as a way to mitigate the seemingly inevitable injuries that have defined this Clippers season. -via The Athletic / May 4, 2024
