Mumbai Indians (MI) A convincing victory was registered Sunriers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 55th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at Wankhede on Monday, May 6. The win was bolstered by a remarkable century from Suryakumar Yadav.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Innings:
SRH set a target of 173/8 after 20 overs. Travis Head led the scoring with a swinging 48 off 30 balls, including seven fours and one six. Donations also appeared Pat Cummins added a quick 35 off 17 balls at the tail end. However, consistent wickets came from the Mumbai bowlers, in particular Hardik Pandya (3/31) and Piyush Chawla (3/33), kept the innings perfect.
Mumbai Indians Chase:
The chase was dominated by a dominant innings from Suryakumar, who scored 102 runs off just 51 balls. His innings included 12 fours and 6 sixes, propelling MI to a comfortable target of 174/3 with 16 balls to spare. Tilak Varma well supported with an unbeaten 37 off 32 balls.
Hyderabad’s bowlers struggled to make much of a difference to Mumbai’s batting line-up. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen and Cummins each took a wicket, but it was not enough to protect their total from the Suryakumar attack.
