The 26-year-old proved his quality in Serie A and managed to score 15 goals and provide five assists in all competitions last season.
Gonzalez is versatile enough to operate in both attacking midfield and wide positions. He can also enter as a false nine as well. He could be a quality signing for Newcastle as they look to strengthen their attacking options.

The Magpies have relied heavily on Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon for goals and need more quality in the final third. Gonzalez would be a great option for them. The 26-year-old recently helped Argentina win the Copa America, and will be looking to try a new challenge at this stage of his career.
