Latest transfer rumors make 2022 signing feel ‘uncomfortable’ at Aston Villa
Diego Carlos is reportedly considering his options ahead of the start of the new 2024-25 season.
Making 20 Premier League starts last season, the Brazilian, who joined Aston Villa in 2022, has been a mainstay in Unai Emery’s first team.
However, recent transfer rumors have linked the 31-year-old with a surprise exit.
Reportedly a summer target for Fulham’s Marco Silva, Carlos has also recently been linked with a return to former club Sevilla.
However, while reports in Spain have suggested Sevilla are not interested in resigning from the South American position, they say the player now ‘feels uncomfortable’ at Villa Park – hinting at a possible move.
In his first years in the Midlands, Carlos, who is three years into his contract, has directly contributed to two goals in 41 games in all competitions.
