Niclas Fullkrug is completing his medical studies before moving to West Ham
German striker, Niclas Fullkrug, has completed his medical studies at West Ham before moving to the London stadium from Borussia Dortmund according to Fabrizio Romano.
It’s a new era for the Hammers with Julen Lopetegui taking over after David Moyes left at the end of last season.
West Ham have made a number of signings as they look to strengthen their squad as they missed out on European football by finishing in ninth place last season.
Fullkrug completes West Ham Medical
The Hammers have signed youngsters Luis Guilherme and Crysencio Summerville, while defender Max Kilman and goalkeeper Wes Foderingham have also arrived at the club.
West Ham are known to be in the market for a star player and having had a bid rejected by Aston Villa for Jhon Duran they have turned their attention to Fullkrug, with the Germany international set to complete a move to the Premier League.
Romano reported that the 31-year-old player has completed his tests and will sign his contract on Monday.
He took to X.com and said:
“Niclas Füllkrug has completed all the necessary medical tests at West Ham! The deal is guaranteed. The signing of the contract on Monday is then the time to make the deal official. The deal runs until June 2027 with an option until 2028.”

West Ham are said to be paying Dortmund in the region of £27m for the striker and will be hoping the German can solve some of their goalscoring problems.
The Hammers relied heavily on Jarrod Bowen’s goals last season, while Michail Antonio is not a cheap goalscorer and the club will be hoping Fullkrug can make an impact.
Fullkrug joined Dortmund from Werder Bremen last summer, but is on his way again after scoring 15 goals and providing 10 assists in 43 games last season.
The striker also has an excellent record at world level with 13 goals in 21 games for the German national team, and scored twice in five games at Euro 2024.
