Richarlison could leave Tottenham if Postecoglou signs a lock

Ange Postecoglou has his eye on Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke to lead Tottenham forward this season and the striker’s arrival could see Richarlison leave North London.

Spurs have yet to replace Harry Kane after the England star left the club last summer to complete a massive move to Bayern Munich and the Premier League side appear keen to do so before the transfer window closes.

According to The Telegraph, Tottenham are keen on Solanke and have held talks with the player about leaving. The 26-year-old was bought for £65m in his contract from Bournemouth, but no club has been willing to match that so far.

The Cherries star is coming off the back of the best season of his career as he scored 21 goals and assisted a further four in 42 appearances in all competitions.

The signing of Solanke will improve Tottenham if he continues his current form and will allow Postecoglou to keep Son Heung-min on the left, where he is best.

There is still a long way to go before the signing of the Bournemouth star is completed and if the Englishman does arrive, it could see Richarlison leave Spurs before the window closes.

Dominic Solanke is attracting interest from Tottenham

What will the arrival of Dominic Solanke mean for Richarlison at Tottenham?

Richarlison has been at Tottenham since 2022 having joined the North London outfit as part of a £60m deal with Everton. The Brazilian’s time at Spurs has not gone well as the striker seemed to be struggling.

Last season the Brazilian was at the forefront of Spurs’ form as the 27-year-old scored 12 goals and assisted four more in 31 appearances in all competitions.

Should Solanke arrive, the former Everton star is unlikely to start and therefore, could be looking to leave the Premier League club with his future confirmed.

According to Football Insider, the 27-year-old is happy at Spurs and has no plans to leave the North London club before the transfer window closes, however, that could change soon.

The Brazilian has been widely linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League and it is believed that there is still interest in the striker, which could start later this month.
