Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola appeared to poke fun at Kevin De Bruyne’s new headgear on his first day back in training.
The Belgian midfielder, who was given a long break due to his participation in the Euros, has returned to training looking fresh. De Bruyne’s blonde hair grew back and was pulled back into a topknot.
Guardiola, known for his close relationship with his players, did not hold back his delight when he saw De Bruyne’s new style.
Greeting the returning players, the 33-year-old laughed: “You have to explain this hair to me!”

Kevin De Bruyne has been linked with a move
De Bruyne has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia this summer. The player admitted he is at a stage in his career where he has to consider his family’s future, indicating he is open to a lucrative move to the Gulf.
But despite strong links to a move away, it looks like De Bruyne will stay with Manchester City for another season.
Although the player is thinking about his future, he is expected to continue to contribute to City’s success in the upcoming campaign.
They will play Manchester United for the Community Shield trophy on Saturday before their season opener against Chelsea on August 18.
