Corner Report: August’s random update

That calendar app has been converted to August. School purchases are all on parent Facebook. A tropical storm could drop ten inches of rain on my house in the next three days. But none of these are the most important events of the month for this website.

Football training camp is in full swing, and the usual trope is for people to check out and play good football. This is no longer true; people remain more closely connected to their baseball teams than 15 years ago. Check out children usually do not continue to play. you can still make soil; just keep grinding and demanding diamonds from me.

Vinnie Pasquantino you get the light to start this week. If you remember, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t, it’s called working memory, some cornerback said Vinnie was going to start off slow because of a shoulder thing but he’d come out after the All-Star break. 5 HR and .832 OPS in his last 30 would seem to call me a prophet. I bore witness with Vinnie; you deliver and are ready for your latest push of the season.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. you will always be my number one ranked player from now on, what a great runner you are. His batting average last month is .781. 9 HR in his last month will do that. Just stay in shape this winter too.

Jake Burger loooooves August in Miami. He only owns 66% of Yahoo; in his last month, he is hitting .303 with 9 home runs. Burger is placed in the heater. They heat up the stop wire and let him pour lighter fluid into your power grill.

Nolan Schanuel he’s swinging the woods nicely, with a .303 average over his last 30. He doesn’t hit a lot of power, and he’s on the small list, but if you need a moderate boost, and who isn’t in this economy, there’s a guy who’s available at 83%.

I wouldn’t be out of luck Eugenio Suarez because he is the type of player you take because he is hot but you see it is over. He has 10 of his last 30 dingers, for a total of just 16. You see, he is wrong. If you have to, he’s the third player ranked third baseman in the last 30 days, but don’t come at me if he hits .220 with one long ball next month.

He looks like Sir Vinnie, Manny Machado had a predictable slow start due to elbow surgery during his vacation. You are back. The theme here is how I think players have done in their last 30 days. Well, Manny Macho Man has a .310 average, six HR, and a near 90 speed for a full season of runs and ribbies. We congratulate you on your patience, honest managers.

What did you hear? Jordan Westburg? Basically the season is done, you need to find a solution in his place. Broken hands I feel make hitting difficult. I didn’t know, I couldn’t hit velocity with a good hand, slow pitchers were good though, once they hit 85 I was just fried. However, Coby Mayo it was called and there is your associated add-on if Burger is not available, either Colt Keith. Good luck in Westburg. If one of the starters does anything, he might be traded this offseason.

Brooks Lee of the Minnesota Twins (who have a new hat that looks like the Marlins) plays regularly and suits up at third base. He is struggling with a sub .300 OBP. I need to look at the boys and the juniors this year, it feels like they are taking longer to adjust than before. Maybe the rookies take until July now, a few months? Don’t count on Lee too much this year, but remember that talented rookies can emerge at any time.

Christopher Morel has two hits in Tampa. They are both HRs but don’t be fooled, he is not the guy you want, let him go.
