Fraser-McGurk expressed his delight at being a part of the DC program and shared that coach Ricky Ponting has given him some important batting tips that have greatly improved his performance. He also recounted an instance when Ponting’s advice to hit sixes proved to be very beneficial during DC’s matches in the IPL.

“What he said to me is that ‘you hit the ball more if you swing at 80% instead of 100%, you just have to find the center and it comes out of the six. And I was like, okay, great, because the more I swing, the more my head shakes. I’ve looked at the footage from all the recent matches I’ve played outside of the IPL, and you’re right, when I swing hard my head shakes as I try to hit the ball,” Fraser-McGurk is in charge.
