Jake Fraser-McGurk talks his bid for Australia’s 2024 T20 World Cup squad

He said he felt unfit to be in the final 15-member list and had no complaints about his exclusion. In addition, he said that his cooperation with the selectors has been constructive, and he did not have any problems after the withdrawal.

“The communication was really good,” (with the selectors). There are two ways to look at it. You can look at it well, ‘this is what I did to prove my case,’ and then there’s also, ‘look, a month and a half ago I wasn’t even in the picture. Fraser-McGurk said on the podcast.

The 22-year-old cricketer admitted that it is very difficult to be included in the team, which boasts of talented players. David Warner again Travis Head. Speaking in detail about the team, the young cricketer expressed his desire to be selected as a venue for the upcoming ICC tournament as it will give him a good experience of T20 cricket.

“If somehow I find a vacation spot [spot] so good, I can get a good experience there. It didn’t bother me too much because I wasn’t in this situation to feel like I had it figured out. World Cup cricket is very different from IPL and franchise cricket,” Fraser-McGurk commented.

Fraser-McGurk expressed his delight at being a part of the DC program and shared that coach Ricky Ponting has given him some important batting tips that have greatly improved his performance. He also recounted an instance when Ponting’s advice to hit sixes proved to be very beneficial during DC’s matches in the IPL.

“What he said to me is that ‘you hit the ball more if you swing at 80% instead of 100%, you just have to find the center and it comes out of the six. And I was like, okay, great, because the more I swing, the more my head shakes. I’ve looked at the footage from all the recent matches I’ve played outside of the IPL, and you’re right, when I swing hard my head shakes as I try to hit the ball,” Fraser-McGurk is in charge.
