In recent years the Northwoods League has served as a launch pad for several young players from the University of Virginia, who return to campus as an improved version of themselves and respond with big sophomore campaigns. Griff O’Ferrall, Zack and Jake Gelof and Kyle Teel are some of the most notable examples of these success stories.
