Arsenal are reportedly ready to approve the move of striker Eddie Nketiah as Marseille continue negotiations over their player. to transfer.

With Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz firmly in front of him, Nketiah is now expected to leave Arsenal this summer and Ligue 1 outfit Marseille are chasing his signature, although the deal is likely to be cheap.

Indeed, Athletic we say Arsenal are eyeing a €30m (£25.7m) fee to part with Nketiah, having rejected a €20m (£16.8m) offer from Marseille earlier this summer.

In an attempt to convince Marseille to meet their asking price, Arsenal are thought to be ready to accept a loan deal, as long as they include a commitment to make a permanent move next summer.

Marseille have already agreed personal terms with Nketiah, who has a five-year contract waiting for him in France, but the Ligue 1 outfit must now decide whether to put in an upward bid closer to Arsenal’s asking price.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has also joined Marseille on loan, while De Zerbi is clearly leaning on his Premier League experience as he looks to build his new club.

As for Arsenal, reports continue to link the Gunners with a search for a new striker, with the likes of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres regularly linked with a goal.
