The PCB announces a special team of match officials for the home Test series against Bangladesh

I Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the match officials who will officiate the upcoming two-match Test series Bangladesh. Series, part of ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 round, will begin on August 21 in Rawalpindi.

He is an experienced referee

in Sri Lanka Ranjan Madugallea veteran member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, has been tasked with overseeing both Test matches. His extensive experience in the game will be crucial in ensuring fair play and discipline for the series.

Notably, Madugalle recently made history in 2023 by becoming the first umpire of the game to officiate 400 men’s ODIs. This major achievement was achieved during the third ODI of Sri Lanka’s series against India, held at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Rawalpindi test field umpires

The action on the field will be overseen by a strong refereeing panel with a mix of experienced and emerging stars. in England Richard Kettleborough and South Africa Adrian Holdstock will share Rawalpindi Test outdoor activities. in England Michael Gough there will be a third umpire, and in Pakistan Rashid Riaz will serve as the fourth umpire.

Karachi test field umpires

For the Karachi Test, Gough and Holdstock will continue their on-field duties, while Kettleborough will switch roles to become the third umpire. in Pakistan Asif Jacob will take over as the fourth referee in this match. Not to mention, the inclusion of a mix of international and domestic umpires adds depth to the officiating team and ensures a high level of decision-making throughout the series.

Notably, the first Test is scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi from August 21 to 25, followed by the second Test in Karachi from August 30 to September 3. The preparatory camp for the upcoming Test series is expected to begin on -August 11.
