Barcelona have agreed a deal to sell the defender to the Premier League

Barcelona have agreed a deal with it sell Right-back Julian Araujo has joined Premier League side Bournemouth, reports have revealed.

The 22-year-old, who joined Barca from LA Galaxy in February 2023, spent last season on loan at Las Palmas, making 28 appearances throughout the season plagued by injury and suspension problems.

SPORTS says Araujo had hoped to force his way into Hansi Flick’s thoughts this summer but, after seeing his pre-season opportunities limited, has agreed to continue his Premier League career with Bournemouth.

Araujo will head to England on Sunday for a medical before signing a five-year contract if all goes well.

Barca hope to close the deal, which Athletic worth €10m (£8.4m), in the coming days to allow them to complete more registrations.

Araujo is not the only one defending his uncertain future at Barca. Fabrizio Romano He pointed out that the 20-year-old defender, Mikayil Faye, is a matter of interest for Rennes, who submitted their bid of 10 million euros.

Barca are open to parting ways with Faye, who is yet to play for a major club, but are keen to include a buy-back clause in any deal. So far, Rennes has only offered a significant sales clause.

Meanwhile, another defender, Eric Garcia, has confirmed that he will stay with Barca next season after returning from his loan spell with Girona.

He told RAC1 (with SPORTS) that he will “100%” stay with Barca next year after receiving assurances from Flick.
