He believed that Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami again Mohammed Siraj could be crucial to India’s success in the series. Jaffer’s prediction revolves around the idea that if these fast bowlers stay fit and participate in more matches, India will have a significant chance of securing a series win.

“If Bumrah, Shami and Siraj stay fit and can play most of the series, India have a good chance of a hat-trick under them,” Jaffer wrote in X.

Jaffer also highlighted the potential X elements of the series. He suggests that if elected, Arshdeep SinghLeft arm angle and Mayank Yadav’more speed can provide significant contributions to Australian conditions. Jaffer replied, “Arshdeep can bring a left-arm option. And Mayank Yadav, a dark horse as long as he is fit and available,” This view underscores the depth of strategy that India can possess to tackle the challenges of playing in Australia.

Series schedule against Australia

BGT 2024-25 will follow an extensive schedule with important matches including the first Test in Perth, followed by a night game in Adelaide from December 6. The third Test will be in Brisbane from December 14, while the fourth Test will be will begin on December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The series will conclude with the final Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground from January 3, 2025.
