West Ham have signed the PSG midfielder on a season-long loan

West Ham United have signed Carlos Soler on loan from Paris Saint-Germain for the 2024/25 season.

The Hammers have been among the busiest in Europe in the summer transfer window, with Soler’s late deadline day arrival meaning they have added nine players to new manager Julen Lopetegui’s squad.

“I’m very happy to be here as a West Ham player,” Soler said on the club’s channels.

“It has always been my dream to play in the Premier League, and to do it in London with a club like West Ham is an amazing feeling.

“I can’t wait to hear the support of the fans, who I have heard a lot about in conversations with people who know the Club, like my best friend Pablo Fornals.

“I am happy to meet my new teammates and give my all for this Club in the best league in the world.”

Soler was in and out of PSG’s first team during two years in the French capital following his 2022 move from boyhood club Valencia. He has played 14 games for Spain but was not in the squad that won Euro 2024.

West Ham’s move for Soler was completed shortly after James Ward-Prowse’s loan move from Nottingham Forest, while PSG also said goodbye to Manuel Ugarte, who joined Manchester United on a permanent transfer.
