Angelo Gabriel agrees to join Al-Nassr from Chelsea in €23m deal

Angelo Gabriel has agreed to join Saudi club Al-Nassr from Chelsea for a fee of 23 million euros according to Fabrizio Romano.

It was also a busy summer for the Blues with a number of new faces arriving, the most high profile being Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Jadon Sancho.

Much has been made of Chelsea’s squad size throughout the summer and although they managed to secure deadline day loan deals for Raheem Sterling, Trevoh Chalobah and Armando Broja, there were still a number of players who could not find their solutions.

Angelo will join Al-Nassr

Despite the fact that the window for the exchange of players closed in many leagues last Friday, but the windows are still open, including Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

One player the Blues were looking to move on was Brazilian Angelo, with the club taking advantage of the Saudi window still open, with Romano revealing the 19-year-old will join Al-Nassr.

He logged onto X.com and said:

“Angelo Gabriel is leaving Chelsea to join Al Nassr, now it’s confirmed! Treatment done and documents changed, updated tonight. €23m fee and sell-on clause as Chelsea want.”

Angelo’s departure will unite him with his young Brazilian teammate Wesley who joined Al-Nassr this summer from Corinth, and will now be teammates with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The winger joined Chelsea last summer from Santos in a £12.6m deal and leaves without making an appearance for the Blues.

Chelsea are in line to make a profit on the Brazilian and it will also be because of the cheap money when Angelo finally left Al-Nassr after agreeing to sell with a clause.

Unfortunately for Angelo with the options in front of him he would not feature in the first team and he is still young enough to return to Europe and do things in the last few years.
