PG-13 Calls Out Anthony Edwards For ‘Disrespectful’ Comments

Paul George has become the latest NBA player in the media to weigh in on Anthony Edwards’ outrageous comments about past NBA players.

In case you missed it, here’s what Edward had to say:

“I didn’t watch it during the day so I can’t talk about it,” Edwards said The Wall Street Journal. “They say at that time it was more difficult than now, but I don’t think anyone was capable at that time. (Michael Jordan) was the only one who was really good, you know what I mean? That’s why when they see Kobe (Bryant), they say, ‘Oh, my God.’ But now everyone has talent.”

Many people were not happy with Ant’s take, including Magic Johnson and Kevin Garnett.

Now, 76 new recruits have spoken out about Edwards’ comments.

“I thought it was disrespectful to the game,” George said on his podcast Podcast P with Paul George. “I thought it was an immature comment. Obviously, Anthony Edwards has a lot of talent and he has a lot of talent going forward. But, how much the game has grown and how far – you have to pay the bills to those players who did it before us.”

Ant is known for being outspoken and as we have seen in the past, he certainly likes to keep it honest.

Celtics champion and Team USA gold medalist Jrue Holiday recently revealed that Ant was the biggest trash talker on the team in Paris, despite KD being on the team.

“Anthony Edwards, 100 percent, 100 percent,” Holiday said. “He’s a great player and you’re going to see him talking trash for a very long time.”

At 23 years old, Edwards is well aware that he has the world at his feet.

He was a catalyst in the Wolves’ playoff run last season, where he averaged 27.6 points, seven rebounds and 6.5 assists in 16 games.
