Rodrygo revealed how he will help Estevao after making his Brazilian debut

Rodrygo vowed to pass on his knowledge to Estevao after the future Chelsea striker made his Brazil debut.

The 17-year-old came off the bench in the Selecao’s 1-0 win against Ecuador in a FIFA World Cup qualifier earlier this week.

Estevao has agreed to join Chelsea from Palmeiras in the summer of 2025 for a fee of up to £51m, and his rise to stardom has continued with this historic milestone for his country.

Real Madrid striker Rodrygo, despite being 23 years old, is considered one of the oldest players in the Brazilian set-up today.

Talking to The LanceRodrygo stated that he will do everything possible to help the nation’s young players settle in their new place.

“No matter how old I am, I know that I am very young, I am only 23 years old but I am a veteran in the team,” he said.

“You see Estevao at 17, [Luiz] Henrique is 18 years old. So, they are very young guys, so even though I am young, I can pass on some of these experiences to them.

“And there are older players who pass on some of these experiences to me. So, I think, in a nutshell, that’s what the teacher said, about sharing responsibilities. Everyone knows their role, everyone has to take responsibility for it. And that’s the way I think if we can do it, everyone one does well, everyone takes responsibility, we will achieve good things.”

Estevao is a midfielder by nature, but his agent has confirmed that Chelsea plan to use him as an attacking midfielder when he arrives at Stamford Bridge in time for the 2025/26 season.
