The Pelicans’ NBA G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, has acquired the rights to guard Au’Diese Toney from the Grand Rapids Gold, the Nuggets’ G League team, in the Tevian Jones trade, according to a Gold Twitter update.
Toney, 24, played in 12 regular season games with the Gold last season, where he averaged 12.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He went undrafted in the G League after his college career at Arkansas.
