Chelsea eyeing Arsenal star and ex-Gunner as transfer targets to fix crisis situation
Chelsea are reportedly looking at a number of potential goalkeepers this summer, with former Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez one of the main names on their list, as well as current Gunners goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
That’s according to a report from talkSPORT, which also mentions Chelsea’s interest in Everton’s Jordan Pickford, who has also been linked with the Blues and Atletico Madrid target Jan Oblak in a report earlier today from Todo Fichajes.
Martinez is an interesting name to appear on Chelsea’s list, however, and the Argentine has performed well since joining Aston Villa, having also impressed towards the end of his time at Arsenal, although he has never established himself as a number one at the Emirates Stadium.
One thinks that Martinez would relish the chance to play for an established big six club again, but at the same time there is an argument to be made for staying at Villa Park, where Unai Emery is building an exciting team that wants to challenge for the top four. .

Ultimately, if Chelsea can get a good enough offer, Martinez will likely leave, but one imagines the likes of Ramsdale and Pickford are players worth considering as well, as they may be more accessible targets.
