Antony made a decision on the interest of Fenerbahce
Antony is said to be committed to Manchester United and will remain at Old Trafford, although Fenerbahce are interested.
The Brazilian has endured a couple of seasons at United and has so far seen just one minute of football for the Red Devils in the opening three games of the 2024/25 campaign. Most of his appearances last year came off the bench, with the defender scoring just one Premier League goal all season.
Antony, despite falling out of favor at Old Trafford, did not leave before the end of the English summer transfer window, with manager Erik ten Hag reportedly blocking a late exit for the winger.
Turkish clubs can still sign players until Friday and Fenerbahce are competing as possible suitors for Antony. But by saying ESPNhe would rather stay and fight for his place at United than move to the Super Lig.
The report states that although Antony likes to be seen regularly, he would rather stay at Old Trafford than head to Fenerbahce.
The former Ajax star will have the chance to meet Jose Mourinho if he chooses to move to Fenerbahce, who face United in the Europa League this autumn.
Red Devils boss Ten Hag is reluctant to lose Antony after saying goodbye to Scott McTominay and sending Jadon Sancho on loan to Chelsea at the end of the summer window. Amad Diallo’s resurgence kept Antony out of Ten Hag’s starting XI, with the young Ivorian slotting in on the right.
