In the seventh over of the Kings’ innings, Salamkheil removed Du Plessis who was beautifully placed. It was a length delivery on the stumps, and du Plessis, who wanted to play it to leg, pressed back but misjudged the spin. The ball caught up, came back with power, went over and hit the stumps. It was a huge success for the bowling team as du Plessis looked dangerous. He went for 34 off 26 balls, hitting one six and three fours.

Du Plessis was not the only victim of Salamkheil’s sharp bowling. The Afghan bowler also dismissed it Matthew Fordewho started furiously, scoring 11 runs in seven balls. Forde, trying to clear the ropes again, took a wicket but misread the wrong’un and was blocked by Pooran.
Despite Salamkheil’s two crucial wickets, St. Lucia Kings managed to muster 187/6, thanks to Roston Chase unbeaten 56th and du Plessis’ 34. Sunil Narine Trinbago’s top bowler, he took 2-13 in his four overs.
Kieron Pollard guides TKR to victory
In reply, Knight Riders chased down the target in 19.1 overs. Shaqkere Parris anchored the innings with a well-made 57, while Kieron Pollard’s explosive 52* off just 19 balls get the victory. Although Forde (2-9) and Noor Ahmad (2-35) gave St. Lucia hopes for a timely development, Pollard’s recent blitz proved decisive.
TKR won by four wicketsreaching 189/6 and extending their winning streak past SLK at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia.
