New Dallas recruit Klay Thompson offered some healthy advice to some young hoopers.
Klay participated in Rico Hines’ recent run and at the end of the session, he shared some real advice for the young hopefuls out there.
“Man, don’t let anybody take your joy away,” Thompson said. “You’re going to play in a different era where everyone has something to say. Parents, coaches, the internet controls all of that. Just ignore all that sh*t and remember why you play this game. Hang in there… work on your craft every day and focus on the little things and you will get the best out of your ability and get to play basketball for a living.
Klay Thompson gave some extremely REAL advice to young hoopers:

“There’s really no better job in the world, because the real world is tough,” Thompson continued. “Enjoy this to the fullest, especially being young and healthy. Always be proud of your game and don’t let anyone take away your joy. Remember why you play this game, for the love of the game, not because you want to get all the things that come with it, but for the love of the game and I promise you, you will gain a lot of skill.”
There is no doubt that Thompson’s advice was heartfelt.
Klay wasn’t quite himself at the end of last season with the Warriors, so let’s hope he can find his happiness in Dallas along with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
