Warriors balk at Jonathan Kuminga’s $224M extension; accompanied by anxiety

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the Golden State Warriors are not yet committed to giving Jonathan Kuminga a maximum contract extension worth $224 million over five years, or any deal approaching that amount.

Despite Kuminga’s ability to increase his value, his short track record and potential issues with the team lead to the Warriors preferring to let his restricted free agency happen if they can’t complete an extension.
