The 49ers have the money ready to sign their rival forward
Johannesburg – Sunderland’s young player, Eliezer Mayenda, is being eyed by Leeds United after the Whites put him on their trade wish list, according to Football Insider.
Leeds United have had a busy summer transfer window, searching for players to replace their departing stars.
In the latter part of the window, players such as Manor Solomon, Largie Ramazani, Ao Tanaka and Isaac Schmidt were joined.
An area they have failed to strengthen is the forward position but it is something they can fix in the January transfer window.
The club’s management are reportedly planning to set aside money for Daniel Farke to sign a new number nine in January but with the Black Cats unwilling to strengthen their promotion race, a transfer is unlikely.
In the summer of 2023, the young Spanish international signed a £500,000 move to join the Black Cats at French club Sochaux.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for the player and what Daniel Farke decides in the next transfer window.
A lot depends on how Mateo Joseph does in this team from now until the transfer window starts in January.
The manager showed his confidence in Joseph with the experienced players in his team.
