Warren was once a solid, elite player in the league. The Kings are hoping that they can turn back the clock a bit and play the same role in their lineup. For his career, TJ Warren averaged 14.3 points, 3.9 total rebounds, 0.9 steals per game, and an effective field goal percentage of 53.5 percent. His best season was in the 2017-18 season when he was a key member of the Phoenix Suns team that is still searching for their identity.
That year, he averaged a career-high 19.6 points, 5.1 total rebounds, 1.0 steals per game, and a 49.8 percent field goal percentage. TJ Warren even got some votes for Most Improved Player of the Year. Other teams Warren has played for include the Indiana Pacers, Brooklyn Nets, and Minnesota Timberwolves as mentioned earlier. Hopefully, TJ Warren can find a place among Sacramento’s active roster.
Some Kings Players Are Looking To Enter The New Season
TJ Warren isn’t the only player the Sacramento Kings are eyeing to fill a roster spot. The team is reportedly interested in Jae Crowder and Nassir Little. Both of these players plan to work out for the Kings at the end of this week. Crowder is another seasoned veteran who can provide an old voice in the locker room. As for Little, he is a winger entering only his fifth year in the NBA. Little has struggled to find his place in today’s league, but if Sacramento wants to go small opposite Crowder and Warren, then Nassir Little could be a solid addition for them. Overall, it will be interesting to see who the Kings sign to add more depth to their roster.
