The duo will be tracked in the first game of the Champions League

Both Arsenal and Liverpool will be tracking top-class men in Wednesday night’s Champions League clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Girona.

Sources have also told CaughtOffside that Aston Villa will again have scouts on the pitch to look for Viktor Tsygankov and Miguel Gutierrez from Spain.

Liverpool and Arsenal want Girona

Although Girona have not had a great start to the 2024/25 La Liga campaign, that could have been planned for their top goalscorer, Artem Dovbyk, and Savio, an exciting wide man, to move on to pastures new.

Both would be crucial in their first foray into European competition, however, their talents are now being seen elsewhere, so Michel and his players must focus on what lies ahead more than ever.

CaughtOffside sources understand that both Tsygankov and Gutierrez have caught the eye of Spanish coaches, Mikel Arteta and Unai Emery, both Premier League managers, as well as Arne Slot at Liverpool, who appreciate their skills.

Although it could put them in a difficult situation in the second half of the season, it is also understood that Girona will be open to selling both of these players if the right agreements are made during the transfer window in January.

Sources indicate that the combined transfer fee for the Ukrainian defender and the Spanish left-back could exceed 70/75 million euros.

The bottom line is that both players are believed to be keen on a move to the Premier League if the opportunity arises, and this could tip the balance over whether to keep them at the club until next summer at the earliest.

Although it may be different for the coach, Michel, that he has to do everything possible, if he is able to reinvest all the money received from the sale of both players, it may see the team strengthen in other important areas.
