SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League announced today its merger 2024 preseason programleading to the start of the league’s 89th campaign next month.
Operating since 1936, the American Hockey League serves as the premier league for the development of players, coaches, managers, administrators, broadcasters and personnel for all 32 National Hockey League teams. About 90 percent of today’s NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and more than 130 honorary members of the Hockey Hall of Fame have spent time in the AHL in their careers.
The 2024-25 AHL regular season begins Fri., Oct. 11.
