Liverpool and Manchester United are on a collision course as both look to replace their left-backs, according to reports.

Andy Robertson has been a fixture for the Reds for the past seven years, making over 300 appearances for the club in all competitions and winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and EFL Cup.

Man Utd, meanwhile, have long been linked with a new left-back, their need for that position being revealed now that both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are injured. That forced them to play right backs and center backs like Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui and Lisandro Martinez out of place.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, both Liverpool and Manchester United are targeting Bournemouth left back Milos Kerkez.

The 20-year-old – who has already played 21 times for Hungary – joined the Cherries from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar last summer for a reported £15.5m (via the Daily Mail) but has quickly adapted to the pace of the Premier League. .

A report from TEAMtalk claims that Kerkez’s name has come up ‘repeatedly’ in Liverpool’s recruitment circles, with the player being ‘regularly watched’ by the club.

Chelsea and Manchester United are also understood to have shown an interest in the Hungarian this summer, with the latter still looking to strike a deal.

Any transfer is likely to wait until next summer given Kerkez’s importance to Bournemouth, who will no doubt command high prices from any potential buyer.
